As I was stepping into my SmartCarry groin holster today to go to work, the thought came to me that a major part of what we've been discussing on this thread is fear of our gun being exposed. Well, a groin holster like the SmartCarry goes a long way to keeping what needs to be concealed...concealed.

I much prefer to use my IWB holster. I use it whenever I'm not going to the office. It's easier to get to the gun and more comfortable. But I'm much more conscious of risk of exposure with the IWB.

I absolutely cannot risk exposure at the office. It's not because it's against the rules. It's because I don't want the issue to come up at all. So I put up with the slight discomfort of having my XD40 stuck down in the front of my pants. But it hides the gun so well, no one will ever ask that infamous question, "Is that a gun in your pocket.

IMHO, a holster shirt would be more comfortable than the groin holster. Ouch!

If you shift smartcarry to your left a bit, it would be like carrying in your pocket. You can access from the zipper too, workable and it takes 3-4 sec.

I have tried, not a holster shirt, but a chest harness holster that put the XD40 under my left arm pit. Since I'm on the slim side and a smaller framed guy (5'10", 160#), the butt tended to stick out a little no matter what I did. I suspect a holster shirt would also. But larger framed men likely do quite well with it, I suppose.

However, I do not find the smartcarry all that uncomfy...shifted to the left (like Beiruty says) so the end of the butt is even with the zipper it's not in the way of anything important and I can use a urinal just fine. It's just not as comfy or accessible as my IWB.

PX4 Sub compact. I can draw it from the zipper. If I still remember correctly my wife timed me with my P30 accessing and drawing from the zipper in 3-4 sec till dry fire is executed.

Hmmm? Given the vast tourism traffic to and from Las Vegas relative to the static population, the odds of a LEO shooting a tourist whose survivors have to get back home are quite a bit higher than the same LEO shooting a resident whose survivors remain in Vegas to pursue the event. That is assuming that the LEO feels the need to shoot somebody?

Oh well, "...what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas". I ain't gonna' be happenin' in Vegas.

A scheduled coroner's inquest has been delayed indefinitely

That doesnt sound good, but I have never dealt with a coroners inquest before. Can anyone tell me if that is out of the ordinary? Good? Bad?

I am anxiously awaiting the release of 911 tapes & being able to know what was on the survilance video. With the inquest being put off til who knows when, the real truth may never be available for the public. Clearly something needs to shake up the LVPD.

Latest news report with Erik Scott's attorney.

He asks for any witnesses to come forward who saw Erik Scott acting unusual at the Costco. At this point he hasn't been able to interview anyone who saw Erik acting unusual.
He also wants to know where all the merchandise is that Erik supposedly destroyed as no one has been able to produce it to this point.
He mainly wants the video of the shooting.
He repeats the statement that Erik was shot five time in the back while he was face down on the pavement. He said that the first shot put him on his knees, and the second put him on the ground. I must assume this information is from his interview with Erik's girlfriend.

It was his first time at Costco, he had only paid for his membership card that morning.
