I've never seen a 30.06 sign (and isn't the facility city owned?) but every time I've been there I've had to walk through metal detectors - and I've been wanded almost every time since the amount of metal in my body almost always sets those things off.

I don't think the circus would be a sporting event.

As to the cheerleading being a sport, a NJ judge has ruled it isn't, but that may be appealed http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38347400/?GT1=43001" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I just took the kids the the circus at AA two nights ago and there were no 30.06 signs posted, no metal detectors, and I was not run through the wand gauntlet. The only thing they were checking is bags when you entered.

Even so, it's not a PROFESSIONAL sporting event unless the cheerleaders get paid money to do it.

I went to an MMA event there last year and the same thing. Checking bags but no metal detectors. I am not sure if MMA is considered a "professional" sporting event but I assumed it was. I have seen metal detectors there in the past so I didn't consider carrying concealed an option. I could have walked in there with five guns on me.

Oh yeah... and it was not posted. I don't think the law forbidding carry at a professional sporting event requires a 30:06 posting. I think it is still illegal to carry regardless of posting. Somehow I would not have considered it illegal to carry at a circus. Unless on a school event...LOL.
