on sunday after going to see the city fireworks show in victoria we decided to go to a friends house to shoot off some of our own

. we got there at about 11:30pm and proceded to have some fun. some of my friends were drinking but my girlfriend and i chose to drink only water since it was hot outside and we were all running around having a good ol' time and we are trying to lose weight

. everything finished up at about 3am and we were inside talking about guns and the range session the next day. my friend was drinking some kind of wine in a little bottle and i was intrigued by such a thing since i hadnt seen wine sold in small bottles. i picked it up and was looking at it when he told me to take a drink and see if i liked it. i told him no and he persisted but eventually accepted that i wasnt going to drink any and im glad i didnt.
when we left i decided to drive since we were both tired but i drive better when tired. we just got to the outer area of the city when i noticed a victoria county sheriff sitting in a parking lot watching traffic. i noticed he was pulling out of the parking lot and thought he was going to patrol the area. thats when all the lights came on

. i knew i wasnt speeding and was actually doing 5 under the limit and i knew i wasnt driving like i was drunk. i pulled over, got out my dl, chl, and insurance and handed them to the deputy and was informed that my liscense plate lights were out. he asked if i was armed and where it was to which i responded "yes sir i have a revolver in my pocket". he went back to his dodge charger(pure win

) and came back with a warning and thanked us for cooperating. to be honest, if your only in trouble for a traffic violation why get an attitude? after it was all over i remembered the 2 glocks and 2 m4s that were in the back of our suv. glad that didnt become a problem

.
anyways, the officer was very proffesional and had a great attitude. after reading amny stories on here where things went wrong, i was very nervous but this was a great encounter. got the lights fixed the next day and will be letting his superiors know what a great officer they have.
