Best Shot Gun Range Friendswood grand opening

I've been shooting and attending instruction and drills organized by fm2 at Best Shot gun range for the last few weeks. The place has been under construction and Matt, the new the owner, is having the grand opening this Saturday, July 3rd.

Sounds like there is going to be some fun activities as well as food and soft drinks. I hope to be there around 2:30 - 3:00 PM and look forward to meeting other forum members who can make it.

There's a target downrange with pictures of all the playing cards on it. The object is to shoot the best hand.

Now I know what gun poker is, I just came from Best Shot a little while ago. I practiced the poker target at 15 yards. First round of 7, I shot AAAKK for the boat. Would have shot a Royal Flush later if I had known that the 10 of diamonds is NOT next to the Jack of dieamonds.

I like the place, has kind of a mom and pop feel to it. BTW silverbear, I let them know that you were advertizing the grand opening, maybe you can get a range discount for it.

We had a great time at the grand opening. The food was good, lots of fun targets to shoot, and a great bunch of people!!!
If you get a chance, stop by the range and take a look. It's come a long way.
