The family that shoots together, etc., etc.

Last Saturday, I dragged The Annoyed Woman and The Annoyed Boy out for a range day... ...well, in truth, you never have to drag The Annoyed Boy to the range... anyway, it was at least 100º at DPC, and we were the only shooters there. All the smart people had already gone home and turned on the AC.

Anyway, here is the record of the event....

We arrive in good order, and everybody, I mean EVERYBODY has a smile on their faces

"DON'T you roll your eyes at me when I.... you just LISTEN to me.... mutter sputter....

"Yes dear. No dear. Right away dear."

The Annoyed Boy, apparently pleased with his results. The boy can shoot, that's for sure.

We're gonna need guns. LOTS of guns...

And, as the day draws to a close, we all go home, a little disheveled, but still smiling.

Yeah, we had a really good time. My son and I get to the range together pretty frequently, but my wife less so. She's not really "into" shooting. She just shoots to maintain a modicum of proficiency since she has a CHL, but it is not so much a recreational activity for her. But when she comes with us, she always winds up have a good time, and that is because we are doing it together, as a family.

I have a great family.

Its great to get the family together just to go shoot. We have a family tradition that on Christmas morning we get up open presents then pack up the guns and lots of ammo and enjoy the rest of the day. Its better than a family vacation cause you cant hear any complaining over the wonderful sound of gunfire.
