Please note that they have not yet built a range for shooting live ammo. Their current setup allows you to shoot a laser pistol at video simulations.
I went by yesterday afternoon to check out the place. They had a decent selection of long guns and pistol alike. They also had a really good selection of ammunition. I was going to get some .380 as he had a bunch of practice rounds but it's been so much cheaper to reload them lately I just didn't.
I did use the simulator for a little bit and it works very well. Seeing the different scenarios is nice so you have to make a judgment call although having someone man the computer while you are doing them helps. As it was explained to me they can make the simulation do different things depending on your voice commands and actions. Basically if you are telling the person to drop their weapon etc they can hit a key and the person will drop their weapon instead of trying to "use it" on you. Having the simulations also let's you work out in your head their what you will do and then you can analyze your actions later. I found that in some situations I wouldn't shoot probably when I needed to and instead waited. Also you can see where each of your shots land and the effect they should have on the target.
All in all a very good training experience and I would recommend it to others. I got 15 mins for $25. To me it was worth it and with today's ammo prices I can blow through $25 of ammo in way less than the time I spent and get a whole lot less out of it.
My posts on this website are worth every cent you paid me for them.
Given the owners' recent public comments during a radio interview in Houston regarding the banning of online ammo sales, I think I'll pass, thankyouverymuch.

After reading this post viewtopic.php?f=23&t=56963&start=30 and many others like it on gun forums all across the country there is no way I would step a foot inside of his store and spend even a penny. People always complain about people wanting to trample all over the 2nd Amendment and here is a dealer who publically supports more regulation for the sake of profits. Sorry, the damage has been done and the fact that this place in now performing damage control is too late..............
I am in Katy often and make a lot purchases and I also will never step foot in that store again, I have been there once before and didn't care for it, the vibe and customer service is the typical gun store commando attitude and the prices are outrageous. This is also not the first time the owner has been in the media spouting nonsense.
What is close minded about him? The guy made public comments and for whatever reason it was done he screwed up. I have never been there myself as Katy is too far but I defintitely wont go there now.
