I'll bet they are laughing about it in the lunchroom though.A manager at Lowe's said store personnel are not commenting on the incident.

Ben Franklin once stated that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. I tend to agree with him.

My favorite comment from the forum I found this posted in: "Cleanup on aisle 13"
Re: another Plaxico type event
This is off-topic, but does pertain to Seattle. I was talking with a family member who lives in Seattle and works for Microsoft. He related that is is quite commonplace to see crack heads openly smoking crack cocaine on the street even in "good" or downtown type areas. If I recall correctly he also indicated that there is much "tolerance" of this type of behavior.
On topic - If you're going to carry in such an unreliable manner, it would greatly benefit you to just not put one in the chamber... That type/location of shooting has to just make a mess of the area due to not only the puncture, but the volume/temperature/pressure of hot gases. At least if he didn't learn the lesson right away, he will while going through the wound care process...

Not sure it matters but I did not read in the article where he was a CHL holder. Maybe just a thug.
The "Clean up on isle 13" comments had me spewing.

The fact that the man had a Washington license was mentioned here:

Re: another Plaxico type event
The comments are interesting. One was from a guy that claimed to know the guy. According to him, the guy didn't want to leave the gun in the car and pocket carried a Glock 30 with one in the chamber. How big do your pockets have to be to do that? Looks like his important parts survived. I know this is bad for the reputation of CHL holders, lets hope it will keep others from making the same mistake.seamusTX wrote:The fact that the man had a Washington license was mentioned here:

Re: another Plaxico type event
That article started out with the typical anti slant by
making fun of people who carry into the store, but
the caption by the photo stating that "carrying in a
holster will decrease the chance of an ND" was just
common sense gun etiquette.
It's kind of ironic that the CHL in question went with
a quality brand (Glock), in the "manly "caliber (.45), but didn't have
enough sense to buy a pocket holster or good IWB or
OWB holster. Sheesh.

From the Lowes incident link, the picture caption:
Holsters vastly decrease your odds of "accidental castration."
