I am amazed at how many chl's don't know what a 30.06 sign looks like. They sure didn't go to the same class I attended.

But , is this the legal format sign for 3006 ?

http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/ftp/forms/cr-1.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If so , that manager lied to me that they have the .3006. But again , if he has given me verbal notice then its his prerogative and we have to abide by his. I guess some Chili managers are given carte blanche to post those phony signs legal or not legal.
:totap: The problem here is not the sign. {SIGH}

...and hospitals are off limits, and churches, and school parking lots, and amusement parks, and Texas Motor Speedway even if there's no professional sporting event, and, and, and....

The classroom training really needs to be standardized.

If you're being facetious, disregard.

Hospitals and churches, not unless properly posted 30.06.

School parking lots, no. See below.

Premises" means a building or a portion of a building. The term does not include any public or private driveway, street, sidewalk or walkway, parking lot, parking garage, or other parking area.

Amusement parks, only in county of 1 million plus population, 75 acres, other stipulations.

Amusement park" means a permanent indoor or outdoor facility or park where amusement rides are available for use by the public that is located in a county with a population of more than one million, encompasses at least 75 acres in surface area, is enclosed with access only through controlled entries, is open for operation more than 120 days in each calendar year, and has security guards on the premises at all times.

Unless posted with a valid 30.06 it is legal to carry into an amusement park. The definition of such doesn't really matter.

Ain't that the truth?

During my days as a stand up instructor I was consistently amazed at being able to present the same subject matter three or four different ways, from a couple of viewpoints, and still have a couple of people per class who had no idea what I had talked about/drawn/passed out pictures of/given them the page numbers for the open book test.

I work at Chili's...we are NOT 51%. They cannot legally post a 51% sign.

They CAN post 30.06 but they SHOULD NOT be posted. They released an employee newsletter last month that says as long as patrons are carrying their guns legally according to local laws, they may carry in the restaurant and to not "be alarmed" in OC states if patrons display guns openly.

I am sorry to say they do not extend this courtesy to employees; we are not allowed to have weapons, period. That's the only thing it says, though - says nothing about "legally" carrying weapons so I'm carrying this August when I get my CHL. If they find out and want to fire me, I'll go work somewhere else and good riddance.

Hope this helped!

Also, to the OP - the sign you saw only applies to unlicensed carry so CHL's are good to go.

Still, if anyone sees a 30.06 sign at a Chili's, contact corporate about it because they are not supposed to post them. :)

Well, my daughter and I also like their baby back ribs. We like to get a full rack and an order of the macaroni and cheese off the kids menu and share.
