Mine originally started because I drove a 4wd ford ranger and was usually the only one on the runs we did. but since then I have thought about it and it just seemed to be the perfect description for me. I used to love watching the show growing up, I also am a loner in just about everything I do, one of my favorite thing to do is to help someone in need, I don't like to be recognized for helping someone out, would rather just go away quietly knowing i did a good thing.
btw I am on my 3rd 4wd ranger in 15 yrs. so if you ever see a newer 4wd ranger on 33" tires and lights on top and a winch on the front driving down I-10 in houston feel free to honk and wave. But please use more than 1 finger so I can distinguish you from everyone else in houston.

I have about a 6" long goatee and have had it in varying lengths and varying levels of full beardness for about the last 15 years or so. When I started out on the internet (back in the BBS days), I needed a username and that one just fit. :)

I love to golf, but I'm not that good at it so I have a high handicap... there are also days where my mental capacity is lacking so the name applies there too.

I've always been a fan of Firebird/Trans Am's (I'm currently Birdless  ). Anyway, Fawkes is the name of the phoenix (firebird) in the Harry Potter books (& movies). It is not after Guy Fawkes, which is often what I'm asked.

Mine is pretty easy for me, r is my initial and edlin is my sirname. The 67 would be kind of tricky since my birth year is not 67, but it does have some meaning to me. It is the year of my wife's birth, somewhere in my DL and my SSN there is a 67, and I have a '67 Mustang.

Like many others, I think mine is pretty self explanatory. Ancestors from both sides of my family fought in the American Revolution. I'm rather impressed with what they did and the documents they developed back then. Too bad our current politicians don't understand the freedoms guaranteed in the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, or the Constitution.

Back in the Dark Ages ('bout 1981 or so), I created a biker character for the Aftermath dice-and-paper roleplaying game. He was armed with an M1 Garand, a P-08 Luger, a Bowie knife and a straight razor. His ride was a panhead Harley, IIRC. "Dirty Bob" Grundman popped into my head, and Dirty Bob has been my handle ever since.

When house-sitting for friends, I once left their kitchen trash full of empty beer bottles (collected at a party -- I didn't drink at the time, but now I'm married) and empty shotgun shells. There was a note from "Dirty Bob" on the 'fridge, thanking them for party space and crash space. The note also contained comments about how they found that they could get blood stains out of the carpet, and that the glass shop downtown did such a great job that you couldn't even tell that the front window of their house had been replaced...

All my best,
Dirty Bob

My name is my name. AFAIK I'm not related to the only Texas governor to die in office.

Because I live in Texas, and the gun grabbers would say that I'm a gun nut because I own a variety of guns and enjoy shooting them.
