You mean to say that having a truck is not compulsory? When I moved to TX, first thing I did was buy a truck. I thought it was the law.chabouk wrote:I know this is Texas, where everybody has somebody in the family who drives a truck, but still.... he never heard of delivery? You don't have to buy a truck when you move to Tx -- But you DO need to buy a GUN! That IS compulsory.chartreuse wrote:You mean to say that having a truck is not compulsory? Unless it's for speeding, in which case they need probable cause to search you via radar and pull you over as a result. Reasonable suspicion would be reason enough to measure speed by pacing (actually, they don't even need to meet that standard in order to pace you, since they can drive whatever speed they wish).stevie_d_64 wrote:And the crowd goes wild!!!Keith B wrote:Probable cause is needed for arrest. Or a visual estimate. Hard to pace an oncoming vehicle.chabouk wrote:Reasonable suspicion would be reason enough to measure speed by pacing (actually, they don't even need to meet that standard in order to pace you, since they can drive whatever speed they wish)

*My wife was pulled over four times last year while driving my dually. Each time she was given a warning for no mud flaps. What’s interesting is that I have never been pulled over for flaps. Yes, they’re on now.

I knew it!
No doubt I would have been given a ticket for the flaps and disturbing the peace with my looks.

I'd just go for the arrest. Gotta make numbers and get that revenue.
(in jest).
