I guess if I had to choose from that group I would go with Hunter or Newt, but my personal preference would be Huckabee.

Heck, I could have put my own name up there and gotten one vote... :smilelol5:

TAM would make a great VP, because he'd wouldn't need a gavel in the Senate...He would be allowed to use his pistol to make a point...

Charles would be my nominee for the Supreme Court, KeithB, you get the FBI...

I'll figure out the rest of my cabinet some other time...

But getting back to the poll entries...Most with the exception of Gary Johnson have expressed an interest in running in the next election...Huckabee has not made any noises to do it again...I think he likes the bagels too much on the set of FauxNews in the morning...

Gingrich has only recently caved to express a serious look into making a run on the job this next go around...

The others are just some heavy hitters in the mix...

Obviously the Democrats have their guy...And that is going to be an extremely easy target come late next year when things turn even worse...But that is just how the cookie crumbles...Everyone here Democrat, Republican and Independent know that Obama is NO friend to our main issue...And for that reason alone is going to make it that much easier to show him the door in 2012...

So I am just stoking the fire a little bit, and hope we have a little fun in doing so...

Newt for Pres
Jindahl VP... he can grow into the job
Judge Andrew Napalatano to head the Justice Dept (and next in line for SCOTUS)
Dan Quayle for Defense Sec (I miss him...he had true character, and a wealth of DoD smarts)
I could fill the rest of the cabinet, given time.....

but.... I still like Palin and think she would make a good cabinet appointee. I can't understand for the life of me how so many self proclaimed conservatives fell in with the kooky left in bashing her over mostly trivial matters. Very similar to the Bush bashing disease that infected so many.

politics do strange things to people, but I'm strange anyway.

If the GOP is to have any chance at all in 2012, it had better start listening to ALL of the people and thinking about a realistic and viable platform of health care reform, equalization of taxes and national security. Iraq is not a winner and neither is Afghanistan - let those infidels kill each other off and good riddance.

The wealthy need no more tax cuts/loopholes nor do the pharmaceutical and insurance companies need any government protection. Social Security and Medicare does need government protection and the existing laws pertaining to illegal entry and border protection must be rigidly enforced.

While Sarah Palin is a refreshing new face and personna, she needs to start fading away. But what the hey, who takes her place? We need real and believable candidates and a real platform that ALL of the people can identify with or it ain't gonna' happen............
:iagree: :iagree: :iagree: The Republicans need to wake up and smell the anger of the populace or they will be watching the Tea Party grow and grow. I don't oppose the Tea Party at all, but it would be ugly if they split the Republican vote just enough to hand elections to the dems. If the Republicans don't turn it around, I hope the Tea Party or some other grass roots conservative party becomes powerful enough to boot them out.

There's still two years to go. A lot can happen in that time.
