I thought he was mildly amusing, but trying too hard, until I saw the original. I'm a one man IT shop in a company managing billions of dollars of someone elses money, I have no sense of humor anymore.
When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.
