I may be able to test a few Armalite rifles for reviewing purposes... anywhere I could fire the 50BMG near the Austin area?

I think that ARC will let you shoot a 50BMG. I talked to somebody from ARC about it when I was there for an IDPA match. Let me know if you find something, I'd like to shoot mine sometime.

A personal review or one for a publication? At ARC, you could probably set something up with a board member (look on their website, austinrifleclub.org) if it's a professional review, or you can go as a guest with any member for free.
I believe there is safety in numbers..
numbers like: 9, .22, .38, .357, .45, .223, 5.56, 7.62, 6.5, .30-06...

I'll be reviewing a few of their rifles for publication my blog. Didn't know that ARC allowed 50 cal shooting any more. Most places nowdays are forbidding it.
