On 4/6 I was laid off after 27 years with a very major defense contractor. If anyone has any leads for a Systems Engineering position in this area, I would greatly appreciate them.
Here's the Professional Profile from my resume if it helps:
Principal Systems Engineer with a proven record of providing the Customer with a well-tested system that meets the Customers business, cost, and schedule needs. Specific expertise in providing:
• Accurate definition of system concept of operations (CONOPS) and system requirements
• Development of comprehensive test plans and test procedures to verify the systems operation
• High-performing contributor throughout the full life cycle of Systems Engineering functions and a proven manager of technical staff
• Six-Sigma Specialist
Thanks for any help

Have you checked Sikorsky in Fort Worth? I think I remember someone telling me they are hiring for some helicopter contract.

systems engineer was pretty ambiguous...i did that with titan L3 and we taught corrosion control to the army helicopter folks
then as a SE i did environmental abatement for the army, then they upgraded us to scientists
good luck
