I ordered a less expensive (Blackhawk) tuckable just to see if I could stand carrying around my Glock 26 (little brick) in my waistband all day. Have been looking at the Crossbreed but if I can't handle the size and weight of the Glock 26 all day, didn't want to invest that much in a holster that will never be worn. I have a Ruger LCP but much prefer the Glock. I don't know much about guns soooo question is; Does Glock make anything, lighter/smaller/slimmer in a 9mm, than the 26? I have a couple of pouches/fanny packs that I use to tote my Glock in right now but would really rather it be on my waist in a holster. Should I have started another thread for this question? If so, sorry.

Short answer - No. Glock makes only one slim frame subcompact, the G36. But it's .45 ACP and weighs 1 oz. more than the G26, and the slide is wider.

I have a G26 which is too big for me to carry, so I also have a Kahr PM9 (9mm) which is lighter, thinner, and much easier to carry/conceal.

I carry my G26 IWB in a Crossbreed and don't even feel the pistol. The beauty of the crossbreed is that it distributes the weight and makes the gun disappear. The brick feeling will go away with the Crossbreed.....the blackhawk does nothing to help distribute the weight. Just take the plunge if the G26 is the pistol for you.

I agree, there is no comparison, I have tried a number of IWB options and had concluded "fat man = OWB". Someone, Austirealtor I believe, talked me into risking it and I am glad I did.

yeah dragonfighter, austinrealtor knows his stuff alright. Guess I will take the plunge and order the crossbreed. Guess having the CT on it won't make any difference in what I order, will it?

Crossbreed includes a roll of Lifesavers in the package as a little "Thank You" for buying their product.
I don't know when they started this or if it's a regular thing.
Life Savers??? All I got was a roll of quarters. I feel cheated.

Yessir!

A little treat in the package was a Comp-Tac original.

IMHO, Crossbreed is a knock-off. Not that I don't think their stuff is well-made, it's just that I pledged my consumer dollars to Comp-Tac many years ago, and Gregg and company have never disappointed. I must have a dozen holsters, even more mag carriers, some belts, and even shotshell holders and other paraphernalia from Comp-Tac.

Comp-Tac products are used by more competitive shooters than any other brand; the customer service is exemplary; it's a Texas company; and the top management are also tops on the range. Yep, they're first-class shooters and instructors.

Sorry to chime in on a Crossbreed post, but I feel the original deserve counterpoint.

I don't own any Comp-Tac products, the reason being that I don't like kydex next to me. I had to check their site just now because I didn't think they made a holster with leather.

I've always considered the SuperTuck to be a copy of Tucker's Answer. IIRC, Tucker was getting the kydex portion from Comp-Tac. But if the MTAC was available when Tucker began offering the Answer, I wasn't aware of it.

I just did a couple of forum searches. The Tucker Answer is discussed as early as 2004.

There is discussion in August 2007 about the introduction of the MTAC.

Based on this unscientific tidbit, it would appear that Tucker is the original.

Except that you were correct in your first post: Comp-Tac provided the Kydex for Tucker's "Answer."

No Kydex holster, no hybrid.

True, but it apparently took them another two years to offer their own holster.

if you would have gotten the mtac, when you get a different gun, you just need to get a new kydex body instead of a whole new holster....

Congrats on the Supertuck. I love mine too.
Me too.

A guy at work walked past my cell the other day and simply dropped the cherry lifesavers on my desk. I was the only one in the group who knew what that meant! :thumbs2:

I love my supertuck. I hope it gives you years of great service but that you never have to draw from it in anger. :anamatedbanana

OK, no candy!? :???:

I already have a super tuck and quick clip for the Glock and really prefer the quick clip for during the week (Since I am obliged to disarm frequently). :hurry:

I really like my JMG for the Kimber UC but I ordered a quick clip for the Kimber, anyway.

It came yesterday but no candy and they sent the super tuck instead! I like the ST and I’m not about to send it back and wait around three more weeks for the quick clip…. so I guess I order it again (next payday). :totap:

So... I got a $3 discount? :evil2:
