Re: Carrying Extra Ammo For The Snubby ?
I also carry two 6 round Bianchi speed strips in a TuffProducts pouch. As everyone has noted, with practice reloading is a fast process. I actually load my speedstrips at the range as I practice as an intermediate step for reloading the snubbie. This gives me a lot of practice with the reloading. The only thing I don't like is the Velcro closure on the pouch - difficult to open easily and quietly. But, I carried one strip in my weak side pocket and like the pouch (and 2 strips) much better.

SKS stripper clips. Carries 10 rounds and fits right into the pocket. Did I mention they're cheap?

I carry a speedloader in the pocket. I suggest that if you carry a speed loader in a pocket, don't carry anything else in that pocket. Stuff can work it's way into the speedloader and keep it from functioning properly.
The jet loaders are very nice.

Re: Carrying Extra Ammo For The Snubby ?
I'll chime in to this as well..
I have a S&W 442 and love it. It was purchased as a BUG but is seeing more and more carry time. It's just so easy.
When I do carry it as my only firearm on me, I have atleast one Bianchi speedstrip with me.
Practice loading with it and one can get the hang of it pretty well.
I originally purchased with the mindset this is a "well its better than nothing" BUG. This j-frame has become far more than that now for me. It's greatly comforting; and just drops right in the pocket (with pocket holster) whether slacks or shorts.
Again, I also often carry a speedstip.

Update.
I just ordered 2 five round quickstrips and the pouch to carry them in from Tuff Products.
Here's a demo video.
Warning...The guy is not an actor.

Re: Carrying Extra Ammo For The Snubby ?
I just got a new snubby last week, and ran it at last Saturday's IDPA as a sort of stress test.
I very briefly contemplated using the same speed strips I'd be carrying it with, but decided to use my regular safariland speedloaders. I'm slow as it is, no need to handicap myself further.
can't see my reloads too well from the camera angle (I tried to talk my camera operator into going downrange to get the shot. he declined). but you can get a sense for how long they take. I practice with the speed strips, but I'm still significantly slower with those. this new snubby will be my new EDC for the warmer weather. I'm still on the fence whether to carry speed strips or loaders out on the street.

I remember reading a guy suggest using el cheapo desert eagle mags as a speed loader for revolvers, but those speed strips are pretty cheap.

Re: Carrying Extra Ammo For The Snubby ?
I would like to say that Natt Stevens of Tuff Products is excellent to deal with. As I mentioned earlier, Bianchi only offered one style of Speedstrip. Natt has taken the initiative to offer a variety of strips for almost any caliber.
I have snubbies in .38 Spl, .357, .41 mag, .44 Spl, .44 mag, and .45 Colt. Natt initially thought the .44 strips would work for the .41. When I reported them to be a little loose, he began producing separate strips for the .41. Although not normally carried, I also have nice revolvers in .32 S&W, for which he also offers strips. The .44 strips also are perfect for carrying extra .410 rounds for my Bond derringer.
The pouches will accept 1 or 2 strips up to .44 mag/.45 Colt. The seam in the bottom of the pouch will hold two loose rounds, bringing capacity to 14. The last two can only be accessed by removing the pouch, but if you need them, you've already used the two strips.

I'm impressed. I'm eagerly awaiting on my Tuff carrier and speed strips to arrive.fenster wrote:I just got a new snubby last week, and ran it at last Saturday's IDPA as a sort of stress test.
