I took the class on 02/27 and mailed my app on 03/02. The return receipt was dated 03/04. While I'm waiting I figger I'll shop for holsters, belts, etc.

Better not wait too long for the holster and belt. DPS is processing at record speeds these days.
Also, there sure is a lot to be learned here, so browse around and enjoy.

No pin yet, but from the looks of many recent signatures, 3 weeks for pin, followed by granted at 4 weeks, plastic at 5. Hope they are still chugging on at this rate.

Looking over a lot of others time lines in which they have received their plastic in hand on this forum I think I will just sit tight and be patient and just wait for it to arrive.
The application has been in their hands exactly two weeks to the day so I must assume I will get a pin number in the mail very soon.
And being that my only contact with Law enforcement has been a very few speeding tickets through out my life I cant imagine why it would take longer than a few more weeks to receive the license.
Any way here's waiting for it and hopefully all you other March applicants get yours very soon too.

For you guys in the March waiting list, my packet was receicved on the 1st of March and I got my pin in the mail yesterday exactly 17 days including weekends, so now ill wait for the rest of it, thanks

Patiently waiting for my PIN. I'm glad to see the DPS is working at decent pace, lets hope they keep it up.

Finally got all my ducks in a row, going to FedEx to mail it right now. I've been in the waiting room for a year waiting on my 5 years to run out on a class b I had as a minor. I have a feeling my next thirty days are going to feel similar to the previous 13 months that I had to wait.

1/16/2009 took class
2/24/2010 online app and paid
3/14/2010 pin recieved
3/19/2010 sent to dps

sent mine in last month, had some missing info on the application finally got the application sent back now just have to sit and wait.
I already have purchased a Mtac holster and have been wearing it and the slim 709 around the house to try to get used to it and figure out the best way to wear it. also alot of range time and reloading ammo. and of course browsing this forum, lot of great information on here.
