I went to the Ft.Worth gun show at Amon Carter exhibit hall in late October last year. I had my Colt Govt. .380 in my pocket, and my Ruger P-95 in a bag of stuff I brought in with me.

When I got to the inspection table, I pulled the pistol out of my pocket, handed it to the LEO who was doing the zip tying and then the Ruger. While he was zip tying I got out of the bag my Uncle Mike's belt holster and buckled up. Put the Colt back in my pocket and the Ruger in the holster. The Ruger was open carried the whole time I was there. Not a person said a word to me.

I open carried AND concealed carry, unconcealing several times to show the gun to people. Again...not a word was said to me.

I just don't worry about it. But of course I carried no ammo on me while there. It was in the car. ;-)

Informed CHLs will know the difference; those who are uninformed will take the long hike back to their car (and then come here and post a question about it. )
If the show is on government property, the 30.06 notice can't be valid, no matter what the insurance company wishes.
