So i just bought a sig P232 380 for my wife and it is a great gun. My question is the 380 a 9X17 or a 9X18?

It is 9x17, or sometimes known as 9mm Kurtz (or short).

9x18 is 9mm Makarov.

Sig p232 is an EXCELLENT gun. You made a fine choice. It's so accurate and reliable that it can get boring to practice with.
Fill the mags with Corbon 90gr ammo and you're all set. :D

Excelent choice. My wife & Mother both have one & love them. Accuracy is excellent. My wife shot a 246 her first time to qualify for her CHL.
