I lost a little over 100 lbs a few years ago and the changes to my lifestyle were astounding.

Non shooting positive effects:
..My acid reflux problem went away and HAS NEVER RETURNED!!
..My back stopped hurting.
..My knees stopped hurting.
..My youngest daughter stopped poking me in the belly while sing-songing "Mushy Belly, Mushy Belly". :mad5 :mad5
..Private time with the wife became much more fun (family friendly here).
..I now can climb a set of stairs without feeling like my heart will burst......
..Receptionists became much more helpful when I walked into businesses and needed to ask questions.

Shooting positive effects:
..It's amazing how much better I can shoot just because I'm healthier.
..I can squeeze through small spaces without my pistol banging against the wall, sounding like I was driving nails with a hammer.
..I can conceal much easier.

I had absolutely no equipment issues whatsoever except that the Smartcarry rig I occasionally used became very uncomfortable. I didn't expect that one but there you go. Nothing at all wrong with Smartcarry and I still use it when wearing overalls but with slacks or jeans, it just doesn't work for me anymore.

Losing weight was the best thing I ever did for myself. I expect to live at least an extra 10 years because of it.
