Me either I do use the code name "Smitty" (Short for Smith & Wesson) to refer to my carry gun when out with my wife.

An example: Wife, "Where is Smitty?" Me, "He's here."

Translation: Wife, "You got your gun?" Me, "Yes."

Anyone overhearing the first exchange would think we were looking for some one. The second would have sheeple stampeding.: :woohoo :rolll "rlol" :evil2:

I have a Keltec so I named her Kelly. Full name: Kelly Kapowski. Like the girl from saved by the bell. Get it? Her name is Kelly and it goes "Kapow" when I pull the trigger, thus, Kelly Kapowski. I'm so clever :) *ducks and runs away*

One day on our way to some shopping chore, my wife asked me, "Is 'cranky pete' with us", referring to my Colt Commander. I thought it was hysterical and ever since we have referred to him as Cranky Pete.

im a firm believer in guns being in the same boat as a boat, they should have girl names.

however, growing up, my dad named all of his duty guns.

nickel colt python 4"-maggie
s&w 3906 9mm-judge
1st gen glock 22-(still carried to this day)-hombre

i have taken possession of a browning medallion a-bolt .243 from my grandpa, he named is sweetie. i guess cuz its sweet, it really is.

i personally havent named any of "my" guns

I have named the two .45's we have...

"Wife-Units" .45 is called "Piledriver"

And mine is called "Sledgehammer"

The only other one is the Marlin .45/70 I have...It's called "Boomstick"... :eek6

Name for a gun? I have a hard enough time deciding what to name all my dogs so I just call mine whatever their make is: Glock, Ruger, Bersa etc. I call my Bushmaster AR-15 the BIG gun. Good luck finding and/or picking out a name. May I suggest ,Snuffy Smith. :fire

I name all mechanical possessions with female names. Just me. I vote for Lucile or Estelle.

Don't ask me why. :???:

I used to call my 5"38 twin gun mount "Christine" because that was my ex girlfriend's name, they both broke my heart, but at least the gun shot where I asked it to.

And that was before Stephen King wrote the book.
