20 days from receipt? Incredible! Super congrats! :thewave

I wonder if the folks in Austin are in a speed contest for approvals. The winner gets a trip to Disneyland!

Thanks for the congrats guys!

Now, the 10 billion dollar question is: How long til the license gets here? I'm guessing within a week.

I gotta hand it to the DPS- they got this done QUICK! I don't know if they hired more personell, got a better system in place, etc... Whatever the case may be, I am grateful not to have had to wait 6 months!

Depends on the length of time it takes the mail to get to you from Austin.

Seriously though, you don't see that message until the license is going out in today's mail. :thumbs2:

BTW, what part of this great State do you hail from? And for something completely different. Belgium proof marks?? Is it an FN licensed by Colt? Or is it a Belgium contract Colt? (I tink I about to learn someting)

Joe- if that's the case I should have it on Thursday, which would be 22 days from receipt of my packet!

I'm in Houston. That .32 is a Colt Belgian contract. John Brunner put out a 2nd edition of the Colt Hammerless Automatics book. It's $80, but worth every penny.

Wow! And you're going to go shoot that thing? That is truly a collectors item.

I collected WWII German pocket pistols, and U.S. military shotguns back in the 70's & 80's. I had a mint Astra 300 with proper markings that I'd be carrying today...if I still had it. :???:

But I know exactly where you're coming from! Congrats on a suuweeettttt pistol. ;-)

Joe- I shoot it occasionally. I have another '03 that I shoot, too. The Belgian contract piece is too rough to be considered a collector's item, IMO.

Need to find a .380 pocket hammerless auto!

Hello everyone. I have been lurking and following the post for about 2 weeks now but tonight I couldn't resist posting. DPS definitely processes in batches. I have the same dates as some of our other members here.

I mailed mine last Friday using USPS Express Mail, and I know it was delivered on Saturday to the PO Box. I also paid with a personal check, because my CHL instructor said that is fine. I'm still checking every day waiting to see that check show as cashed. So far, nothing. :-(
