took the 16 yr old daughter to Shiloh - PICTURE ADDED!

#1

Post by TDDude »

.. And not only did she love it, we left with a target that had a fist sized jagged hole at center mass.

She's shot rifles and has even taken a couple deer but this is the first time with a pistol larger than a .22.

We homeschool our children and firearms training is just like math class. They don't have to like it but they have to be good at it.

So far, all my kids love to shoot and are good shots.

edit I finally got her to sit still long enough to get a picture with the target!!
She was shooting one of my 9mm Beretta Cougars.

And a message to any funny business boyfriends: I CAN and DO shoot better than her. :bigear: :coolgleamA: :coolgleamA:

Okay, I give up. I did a google search and came up with so much garbage that I don't know what a 'target picture' is.

I'm guessing, but are you referring to the targets with pictures of bad guys, zombies, etc., or something else?

BTW, I'm glad you're daughter had a good time at Shiloh. You didn't mention what pistol or caliber.

Longtooth is stating we love to see pictures of the kid's posing with their targets after they shot showing how well they did and how happy they were!! :thumbs2:

If you ever get the time, you should take the kids to this shiloh as well (what I originally thought you were talking about).

Aren't kids cool to take to the range!!!!!! :fire
Last year I took my daughter (then 15) to the range. She LOVED it. We shot my P3AT, Bersa 380 and a high Poit 9mm.
The P3AT and High Point are now gone with a taurus PT745 in their place.
Now my SO and my 21yo daughter both want to go with me as well as the 16yo. There have been many somewhat heavy discussions between the daughters as to who goes with me next. My 24yo son took his CHL class last month and is lining up his finances to send in. Soon he will be able to carry.
My SO used to work at a gun store in New Orleans way back in the day so she does have some experience with guns.
One of these days when I can get more ammo (MUCH more), we will find a babysitter for my grandson and make a family trip. That is the only way to have peace in the house. At least everyone in the house is supportive and knowledgeable about guns. I carry all the time and whatever I am not carrying is locked up for safety so I am the only one at this time with access to any of my guns.

Wow, Cool responses.

I'll get a target picture in a couple days. She's on a school trip until Sunday and when she gets back I'll get her to pull it out.

She was shooting my Beretta Cougar in 9mm. One quirk though; every time she pulled the mag to reload, she would hold it backwards, almost load a round, ,stare at it for a second, then turn it around and start feeding those dudes in as fast as that little speed loader would work.
