Thanks for the welcome! I've already gotten some great info from the site. I live in Rowlett. For those of you not familiar with DFW, it's a suburb on the east side of the Metroplex.joe817 wrote:Hi MSC182 welcome to the forum. Glad to have you with us!

Re: Jan 2010 applications
first things first...
very fortunate to have taken my CHL class via Lonnie Ward and the Denton County Sports Association - http://www.dentoncountysports.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - highly recommended - professional, enjoyable, very well organized - class, fingerprint, photo, test, shoot all in one (long) day - thank you Lonnie !!!
secondly...
this forum has been so informative - from the legislative discussions with Charles Cotton to comiserating with my peers here in the "waiting room" - great information and contributions from the members !!!
Now for the application...
Since taking the course on 1/9, my application was sent in and appears now as "processing application" via the online status - so indeed i am "officially" in the waiting game - will update as things progress...
Thanks again,
Ron

WOO HOO! Status finally changed to "processing." Although, I'm not sure when it changed, I checked it on friday around 4pm and it hadn't changed. Weird

I should have recognized that from your user name. I really love the look of the PX4, it's very futuristic looking. I have the Springfield XD Subcompact 9mm.

Re: Jan 2010 applications
First post, but I've been trolling for a few weeks.
So I mailed my application off on the 3rd of January, received my pin on the 15th, and I had been checking multiple times per day to see if my application had been approved, but decided to give it a rest and wait a few days between checking, since there was no way that it was going to be approved so soon. So about an hour ago I log in after not checking for 3-4 days, only to find that my status had been changed to "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"!!!! Can't wait for the plastic to come in so I can go on my Wally Walk!!

OK... starting to get a little antsy. Most people who mailed their packets when I did have already received their PIN. Guess if I don't get something in the mail in the next few days I'll have to break down and give them a call.
