That's normal. It should change to "processing" soon. Probably another week (give or take a few days) . ;-)
:iagree: My status said that for 12 days, before it switched to "Processing Application".

My middle daughter and I hand delivered her CHL app to the DPS/CHL HQ here in Austin yesterday. I have always done that because they can give it the once-over to make sure everything is OK. In fact, the lady rearranged the photos on the card so that it was entirely in front of the card rather than taped to the back.

Also, we had her prints done at the FAST location in the CDL/Safety Responsibility office just a couple of block from the DPS HQ. They notified us that they are only using the blue print cards now X2. They removed the black DPS ones.

Then we went by McBrides Guns to look into a carry pistol to replace her Glock 17 which has been here learning pistol. I think she likes the XD9 subcompact.

Then we celebrated and went to Dirty Martins and had cumback burgers and rings.

Good day, yesterday

January 19 and counting.

Congrats guys!

All this talk about packet being complete and my status having not changed, I broke down and emailed them about my status. Hopefully something comes through.
