Well it seems to be plentiful enough for you to be able to go out and shoot, and replenish what you use, and maybe add to it. We're seeing it pop up all over the State, and I think it's a sign that it's only going to get better.
NEXT comes prices coming down.....I hope.

Has anyone noticed that walmart has not had any 45acp lately. It seems like it was gone, then came back for a while, and now I never see it. The last time I got the WWB 100rd value pack from walmart was in Marble Falls about 3 months ago and it was marked up to $34.97. Just curious
Spanky, 2 weeks ago I spotted a lot of .45 ammo at Wal-Mart in east Ft.Worth:
.45acp - Federal 230 gr; 28 50 count boxes: $15.97
.45acp - Winchester PdX1 JHP, S.D. ammo; 17 boxes: $20.97(20 round box??)
Also, Academy in north F.W. had a lot as well. I think the shortage is regional and infrequent. JMO

I forgot to mention....has anyone noticed that the monarch JHP round seems to be a very crude hollow point design. It looks like the took an FMJ bullet and ground the rounded tip off and just drilled a little hole in it. Just seemed to look very crude to me. I will try to post up a pic to show what I mean

I have always thought of Monarch as a low end plinking ammo. I was real surprised to hear they were attempting a hollow point, "low cost", round. I would be amazed if the bullet they were loading on that round were a Sierra or Speer. I would love to see a pic of this round. Thanks for the info.
As Monarch branded rounds seem somewhat in good supply, does anyone know of any ballistic tests have ever done on that brand? I know they are made in Serbia.

I thought the very same thing .
As far as performance , yesterday I shot a box of the JHP and two boxes of FMJ through my LCP without any problems and I didn't notice that it's any dirtier than any other ammo that I use. I'll be buying more of it due to its price .
