Sr Member Status

Post by FL450 »

Wow, now that I have reached member status (45 post), I feel like Steve Martin in "The Jerk" when he got listed in the White Pages ( " I am sombody") Now just curious what does it take to reach Sr Member status, I could not find anything on the subject.
Thanks in advance

It's a secret vote by all the other Sr. Members.

It is automatic after a certain number of posts. Just can't remember exactly what that number is.

I am sure a long time before I get there, At 47 years young, I might be a senior before I reach senior member status.
Thanks for the input

I think it is actually 250, but 200 could be right. Really not a big thing to reach since there are no 'senior discounts' on this forum.

There seems to be no correlation to post numbers, status, and relevancy. Just because someone has a high post count doesn't always mean they know what they are talking about. Join date and post count mean more to me. Some just post "me too" posts and some just like to pontificate. I guess what I'm saying is I tend to avoid the "Post (that word that got Imus in trouble)" posts.

enjoy the discussions, share your experiences, learn from others that share theirs & the post count will take care of itself. Everyone pays way more attention to content than to quantity. Here is just like in the work a day world. There are those in the world that can talk all day & not say a thing. Not many of those here though, thank you Lord.

All I know is that USA1 joined more than a year after I did, and he's already got 800 or so more posts than me. And the good Lord knows I'm a talker. :smilelol5:

:iagree: The important number "How Many Posts You've Read" of "Which Posts Have You Read" can't be tracked. You will come to recognize members and figure out who to "listen" to for advise. Time after time I see people with their 1st post say they have been reading for months and decided to join when they had to "jump in" and give their two cents. I did the same thing.... ;-)

Mr USA1 was entertaining a subject and I thought "Whoa, Whoa, Wait a minute".....then I became a member!!

Probably due to all those late nights sitting at the computer reading and replying to all the posts
while waiting for my CHL to be approved.

Also , I can take a hint from a few posts up. I guess you can't please all the people all the time.
FWIW , I enjoy everyones posts , from the serious ones to the funny ones to the just plain silly ones.

...but not so much the mean spirited ones. :???:
