Weber's Outdoors, Troy TX

#1

Post by Ropin »

First, let me admit that I cannot provide an entire 'range report' on this particular facility. However, their attitude for the brief time I was there on Saturday impressed me enough that I'm willing to say that if I were closer, they'd be getting at least some of my business.

I had made arrangements with another forum member to meet up at Weber's (about the halfway point between us) for a transaction. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that the facility was closed due to the recent weather. Before we even had time to make alternate plans, we were greeted by an employee at the gate, and when he heard our situation, he tracked down the boss, who offered to let us come on to the grounds and run a quick function check of the equipment prior to the transaction.

He was friendly and helpful, and never once gave the impression we were imposing in any way. I can say that the parts of the facility I saw were terrific and well-maintained. His prices seem reasonable also. Like I said, if I were closer, I'd definitely go back. :thumbs2:

My wife and I have enjoyed shooting our XDM and XDSC (both 9's) at Weber's for about 8 months. I have found the guys that work there have always been helpful.

Can someone tell me about the pistol range that they have? I'll be in that area after Christmas and would like to be able to spend some time practicing.

Weber's is where I shoot, and I've never been anything other than happy there.

The pistol range has concrete stands at 3, 7, and 15 so you can practice from CHL distances, as well as some steel plates if you want to shoot those ( from 15 only ). Targets are $1 or you can bring your own. It's a really nice pistol range. The rifle and shotgun/skeet ranges are great too, and they just added some equipment to the rifle range to make it even better.

I don't know squat about paintball, but they offer that too.

As a new shooter over the last 18 months, Weber's has been fantastic. I can't recommend them enough. They also have a gun store in Temple that is an awesome place to shop as well.

Thanks NewTexan. My parents live in Belton so I'm in that area frequently. I was at the Weber's shop in Temple right after Thanksgiving. I was impressed. Really great selection of guns, accessories and ammo. The staff seemed very friendly & knowledgable.

Glad I could be of help. My SO just gave me a pretty sizable gift certificate to Weber's for Christmas. Now, should I load up on ammo or start looking at the boomsticks....
