Just a normal guy living here in Austin. Not sure why it went so fast, but very happy about it. I'm glad to be a part of the club.

You haven't hit 60 days yet , but you should be getting close to "application complete" soon.
Good Luck !

I got a letter in the mail. I thought it was my license, it was a delay notice. At least I got something.

Re: DPS Processing Times
it was for a dismissed case a while back. I forgot all about it. I got the copies I needed yesterday and I sent it overnight today.
Hopefully, they will issue the card the same day when they get what they requested.

i am guessing its all in the time it takes for the background check...i dont know all the factors that go into the check, but i am a federal employee with a high level security clearance, so that may have helped in the speed of the process...who knows!!

Previous background checks don't seem to make any difference. The slowest checks are usually form your country or counties you have lived in.vinnier6 wrote:i am guessing its all in the time it takes for the background check...i dont know all the factors that go into the check, but i am a federal employee with a high level security clearance, so that may have helped in the speed of the process...who knows!!
Hopefully if won't take a long time.

Re: DPS Processing Times
I was given notice of my renewal in September. I delayed sending it in because I have an out of state license too and don't have to hurry. I sent my renewal application in November 15 and just got it back yesterday December 18th.. that's just over 30 days. Not bad!
