For just polishing, not re-forming, I've used a dremel wiith a felt head. I've used things like chrome polish and car wax to avoid knocking off too much. I'm cheap and I had these things so I used them with pretty good results.

I can't recall the name but there are these flat kitchen scrubber pads that are green and maybe yellow. Just a fiber of some sort.
Cut in strips and wrap onto a little dowel rod to fit your drill. Put a little oil on and have at it a bit at a time.
In CAS we all used those to do the chambers in the Vaqueros and Colts and even the shotguns. They work great ! Really smoothes them out.

Scotch pads I think...

All I want to add is exercise caution if you go with the dremel. Its easy to overdue so go slow if you do go through with it. Good luck!

Scotch Brite there are several different colors. \

Green= Coarse
Red= Med coarse
White= Soft

I think that is how it goes, there are other colors too. but I think these would do you well
