How many times do you have to say "Turn around and put your hands on your head" before you get it?

This guy is a fool, and now his foolishness is all over the internet.
The cop doesnt look much better

Put yourself in his shoes. You pull a guy over for a crooked front license plate, and all of a sudden he jumps out of his car with his hands in his pockets yelling "Why did you stop me?". You have *no* idea what is in his pockets, what his intentions are, or if he's high on something that will give him super human strength.

Do you trust him? Especially when he won't do something as simple as either get back in his car, or later put his hands on his head?

Good on you if you would, and I hope that positiveness carries you through life. I on the other hand would have tasered the guy much earlier.
If I was a cop I wouldnt pull anyone over for a crooked license plate.

Late night traffic stop...man gets out of the car (number one scenario for a cop to be murdered)....right hand in front pocket (a very BAD thing)...then disobeys a lawful command (in this case a LOT of them) by a peace officer. In effect we must ask ourselves if this guy was doing what a reasonable person would do during such an incident. When someone acts as this guy did, he can only expect that police are going to protect themselves by ordering him to the ground so that he can be cuffed while being interviewed. And this cuffing is for his protection as well, so that he doesn't get shot doing something stupid.

This is a good example of what not to do if you are stopped during the night. Arguments and ego trips are best reserved for the courtroom. I can also envision that IF the only thing going on was a loose license plate and the guy was compliant he would have been on his way in just a few minutes. I give the benefit of the doubt to the officers. When he started advancing on the officer's cruiser, before the days of tasers, he probably would not have survived. Lots better to be shot six times with a taser than six times by a .40 S&W.

And finally, this video tells us nothing of who this guy really is. Anyone want to volunteer to let him live a month in your home?

I wouldn't even want him living in my neighborhood.

The officer showed far too much restraint.

He said, "Turn around and put your hands on your head" at least fifty times, perhaps more, while the man kept demanding to know why and acted like the officer was his mom, who he didn't have to obey.

In my opinion, the man's uncooperative behavior was outrageous. He deserved to be tasered, just a lot sooner.

I noticed his pseudo tough guy act melded into 5 year old girl screaming once officer patience ended and the required tasering began.

I couldn't really tell from the video, but I got the impression from his behavior he may have been a teenager - some look like adults. His behavior was certainly adolescent.

I think some dreadfully immature or misinformed adults are under the impression they have a right to demand a full explanation by the police BEFORE they will cooperate.

For those of you who think this is the case - it isn't so.

The police don't have to make sure you fully understand and agree why they're doing their job before they do it.

They don't have to hold your hand. They aren't going to serve you milk and cookies. You don't have to like them for them to do their job.

You don't get to decide IF you'll cooperate. You'll cooperate, one way or another.

Am I for police brutality?

Absolutely not.

No one enjoys being stopped by the police. It causes some anxiety, but act like a man and you'll be O.K. if you're not up to something illegal.

I can appreciate some fragile ego'd person hates to be told what to do by a complete stranger, but it's nowhere near as difficult as what served up in the military. The pseudo tough guy from the video wouldn't last a day in any of the armed forces. The treatment he got from the cop pales in comparison from what you get from a Drill Instructor in the Army.

What a sissy.

He strikes me as being made of the same material as the guy who cried while shouting "Leave Britney Alone".

Agreed. The military today (any branch) is positively lame compared to the Marines' DI's during Vietnam. Can you say "Rifle butt of an M-14 to the nose" three times?
