The site said they began processing my packet 10-22. Today it says process complete- license active. 34 days! AND I've lived a full life and had some unslightly stains on my record. Lets see how long the mail take to get to the house.

There is no way that a complete and truthful application for anything should take more than 60 days to accept or reject...assuming that the reviewing agency is staffed by competent personnel with clear and concise guidelines.

That might depend on the background check. If you had moved several times in the last 5 years it might take some time to get all the information back to DPS. Out of state checks might take some time. I could imagine if you nad lived in, oh let's say San Francisco, they might not be too quick to send back your background check.

I was stunned that mine went through so fast. I have four occupational liscenses that also require an on-going clean record. I wonder if that showed that I'm clean. I've never read the details on how they do these checks.
