Is it Legal?

Re: Is it Legal?
So, honestly, I've never been a fan of Halloween (even as a kid), so I think the OP might just be the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

Re: Is it Legal?
my wife always helps out with the kids stuff at the church on Halloween, so I'm usually home alone...in the dark.....off the beaten path with only two neighbors....
The few times in the past when those darned moochers rang the doorbell, I gave them each a raw potato or raw onion.... they don't come around anymore. My wife always wonders why we have so much candy left over...
Bahh....Humbug!

So, how did you do last night?dmac wrote:Can I shoot everybody that knocks on my door tonight? That bugs me to when we give candy and there is no thank you. Then we wonder why kids are the way they are today . My Wife would just ask them what do you say and alot still had no idea. Respect goes a long way. I agree are dogs were wit the Wife and the kids old or young didn't like that. Of course I was armed and listening at each encounter. The wife said no answering the door for me because I don't conceal at home.

Well...I got a few, but I dragged all of the bodies into my house so I'd be legal. So far no one has said anything, so I guess I'm okay.Zee wrote:So, how did you do last night?dmac wrote:Can I shoot everybody that knocks on my door tonight? I really like this idea......Crossfire wrote: Our rule on trick or treaters is, if you are taller than 4 feet, you don't get candy unless you sing a song. We don't care what song - any song.
You would be surprised how many teenagers leave our door empty-handed because they just can't believe we would make them DO something to get candy! And then, occasionally we get entertained by those who come up with something really good on the fly.
I love Halloween.

You'd have to sing the tune from the '80's 'I Want Candy' by Bow Wow Wow

OMG...terrible video flashback....and a useless fact. Did you know that the lead singer of that band and the girl in the video was only 14 years old at the time of filming?Keith B wrote:jlangton wrote:I really like this idea......Crossfire wrote: Our rule on trick or treaters is, if you are taller than 4 feet, you don't get candy unless you sing a song. Re: Is it Legal?
No teens came to us for candy this year. They were going to the house next door to buy drugs.
Most kids we had said 'thank you'. I was surprised at home lame the presentation was. What happened to singing the entire song?.... Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet, Gimme Something good to eat...

The older ones had the munchies and just wanted a quick, free snack...karder wrote:Isn't there a trick or treat cut off age? I don't remember exactly what it is, but it has to have been around 11 or 12. What is it with all these 16 and 17 year old trick or treaters? And it is not like a bunch of 17 year old girls dressed as sexy witches either. It is pudgy 17 year old guys wearing hockey masks. Don't look like they need any more candy either. Maybe your neighborhoods are different than mine.
