I did not see anywhere requiring a copy of orders or anything like that when applying under the military fee waiver. So, fellow servicemen take note!

Yeah, you would think with backgrounds like ours (mine is similar) they would look at the application and think "yeah, ok...ISSUED" but no such luck. While I was stationed in North Carolina, I inquired with the Sheriff directly concerning a state law there that allows officers with the power to arrest to carry concealed without a license. As a Coast Guard Petty Officer, I fall under that category. I was told that I would still be required to attend the course before that would apply and I would still probably have issues with the officers if it ever came down to it. He said even a Secret Service agent falls under the same requirement. Now at one time I had a top secret clearance, a BI that would make Obama's look like kindergarten work, and an Honorable Discharge. The wife? No security classification, ever. No military service.
