2 LEO contacts in September...rough month!

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

I'm about 95% certain you'll get the ticket dismissed with some good photos. I personally have a hundred percent success rate here in San Marcos. :tiphat:
Aquarena springs headed east. Its 45 until you pass under I-35 and then down to 30 mph. And I really didn't know how this thread got so popular lol.

I went to SWTSU (now Texas State) from 89 to 91, I learned not to speed anywhere that "known students" lived or went. I received 2 tickets in my first sememster and that is when I learned that lesson.

When I was there, the local population HATED the students, the only thing they LOVED was the money in their wallet.

kalipsocs, I'm pretty sure it drops down to 35 at the Sonic, with is a decent distance before I-35. We might be saying the same thing, but I'd hate for you to get another ticket in the same area. I used to live in the Autumn Chase apartments right on the east side of I-35 and also noticed a lot of traffic stops. I would still strongly recommend taking pictures of the messed up speed limit sign in to contest the ticket. Like I said, based on my experience, going in with any decent evidence that you weren't intentionally breaking the law gets you off the ticket.

TAM & Carrots, thank you for sharing your stories. I'm glad you made it through your wrecks to still be here today. It does mean more coming from someone who went through it personally. For what it's worth, I have toned it down a lot since I first got a fast car as the reality of the consequences set in. Generally I stick to 5 or 10 over if there are any cars around. It's long stretches of mostly empty highway and deserted back roads that I tend to open it up on. In principle I just have a problem with being held down by other people's inabilities or fears.

Your pictures made me wanna cry Carrots.

TAM, please don't take what I'm going to say next to mean that I didn't glean anything from what you said. In your hypothetical situation, had I been doing the speed limit, would the end result have been much different (assuming the timing and placement of tire outage and oncoming van still matched up)? I know a lady who has been in 3 head-on collisions, with over a year of rehab afterward per wreck, and none of them were her fault. No one was even speeding in her wrecks. I'm not saying that's anywhere near the norm, but I don't believe doing everything right will always save me either.

Believe me I did.
And so did the tow truck driver.
And so did the bodyshop.
And so did the total loss claim adjuster.
And so did the staff.
And so did my friends.
And so did my girlfriend.
I was only allowed to take the Porsche's out after that "rlol" (A decade on and I can just about smile about this now)
