Plastic in hand. 9/9/09 was lucky for me!
72 days wait time from date of packet drop off. A significant improvement from what I've been reading!

Hi hj, welcome to the forum! There's a wealth of information here at your fingertips, and a great bunch of people to get to know.hjlucas wrote:hello!!

It's pretty common to judge wait time from the time the application changes(on the DPS website) from "processing application" to "application complete - license issued or active". DPS has greatly improved processing times since the middle of August, and it took me 48 days.

hi hjlucas , welcome to the forum
Joe is correct . right now the waiting period seems to be within the 60 day limit for the most part .
to answer your original question , after the elections there was a huge increase in applicants causing a backlog
of applications .
some applicants had to wait for as long as 9 months in some cases .
personally , mine took 113 days . i was an April app.
good luck to you .

And just FYI, those are calendar days I was talking about and not business days, as they seem to process on the weekends too.
