Obscure gun guys help me out?!

#1

Post by WNallG30 »

Hey all. I know there have to be others in here that are interested in older or rare or obscure guns. I need some help with finding a magazine for a Stoeger Arms .22LR Luger. My mom just dug this out of a closet. It was my dad's and we haven't really shot it in years. It's been through a move and it has become separated with its mags. It misses its friends very much and told me it would like some more! ;-) This was the first handgun I ever shot. It's got a lot of sentimental value to it. I don't know what it's worth, but I'd pay a pretty penny for a mag or 2 just to have it up and running again. It's probably about 95%. My dad used to carry it with us hunting in case we met a snake or whatever out in the brush.

I don't know alot about Stoeger. From what I can tell, it looks like the original company went out of business or sold out. I'm sure someone else here probably knows. I've found new shotguns imported by Stoeger. But that doesn't help, I couldn't stuff the 12ga shell where the mag goes. I just started looking into it today, so any help anyone can give is OK by me! Thanks, and happy shooting.

Will,

A google search on "Stoeger mags" gave a couple of hits, pointing to these:

I don't know anything about Triple K mags so good luck.

Then there are these:

Better price...

Anyhow, it appears that they are out there for the choosing.

Kind Regards,

Tom

Thanks. I ordered 2. I was using Dogpile to search and it wasn't getting me anywhere. I Google'd it and found those 2 sites also. Thanks Tom.

Many years ago when I checked Gun Parts Corp sold magazines for them. I inherited Dad's old Stoeger .22 Luger, it's had the devil shot out of it, even though it doesn't look like it. Still goes "Bang".........most of the time anyways! But when it does go bang it hits the target at POA.

Yep, Numrich/GPC has original mags for $28.15 each. They should be the first stop, because of the excellent exploded diagrams they provide.

Two more good sources for obscure parts and accessories:

Bob's Gun Shop (mostly sporting arms):
http://www.gun-parts.com/

Springfield Sporters (mostly milsurp and C&R):
http://www.ssporters.com
