Here's my bride holding her 250/250 CHL target for which she used my XD9, which she immediately declared was hers from that day forward.

Re: Your Best Range Target
During the shooting portion of my CHL class, I looked over to the target next to mine after about 30 shots. It had one ragged hole about 2" in diameter.
I asked the guy (1911 shooter of course) if he was sure he didn't want to make a second hole.
When they moved the targets back all the way, he did finally make a second hole... but then promptly connected the two to make one big hole.... show off.
I scored 250/250 but his target was a thing of beauty.

Funny how they do that - they way she shoots I would not tend to argue with her either.jimlongley wrote:Here's my bride holding her 250/250 CHL target for which she used my XD9, which she immediately declared was hers from that day forward.

Re: Your Best Range Target
I was very happy with my first outing with my Sig P229 that I took a picture of the target. I hope you don't mind if I add it here. This was at 45 feet. One box of 40 S&W and one box of .357Sig.

I have a S&W M&P 9C with the thumb safety. Absolutely love the gun.
Great shooting.

Great gun choice! Do you have a Compact, Standard, or a Pro M&P? I am very foryunate to have all sizes. I shoot the Standard for competition and I carry the Compact. I find I am able to conceal the compact quite nicely either in a holster or in my purse. The only draw back I found is that it is heavier than my other carry choice a Keltec.
As for posting a target, sorry haven't kept any. I did make smiley faces before I got into IDPA. Now I am interested in good FAST hits - no more art!
I'd love to see some of your Target ART!! How awesome would that be?!!! My SW MP is a standard and is my favorite gun of all! Like you said, any of those models are a lot heavier than your Kel Tec or my Ruger LCP. If you change your mind we'd love to see some of your Target ART!

Re: Your Best Range Target
One day Andy C and I are gonna get the range at the same time.
One day for lunch I went to DFW Gunrange and shot my XD SC 9mm at 15yds with my new sights I had just put on.
After 30 rounds I thought I best stop before I messed up such a purty target...
