Gun Recommendation

#1

Post by chongfa »

Now I got a taste of an awesome revolver, thanks to Rey. I wonder which pistols should be my next goal. Currently I have:
1) G19
2)Kimber Eclipse Custom II thanks to Highvelocity. (I also got a .22LR kit)
3)Colt Python 6 in. thanks to Rey.

Rey had recommended me to get a Sig. I am looking for something in a .40 S&W caliber. I also don't mind any revolver suggestion, since I began to really grow a liking to them.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe a S & W snubby for deep concealment? If you are looking for a fun range gun maybe a SA Peacemaker style in 45LC? I am sure you will think of something

If you decide to get your TX CHL then the 19 or Eclipse would fill the role of concealed carry.
You've got the Python that you can target shoot with using either 38's or 357's.

I think you need something totally different. As has already been suggested, a S&W snub or Big Ol' cowboy gun would be fun.
Why not a rifle? An AR15 or a Lever Action in a pistol caliber like 357 could be fun.
A Beretta CX4 carbine that uses 92F mags which are cheap and abundant and 9mm ammo which is also cheap is another option.

How about a shotgun? You can get a Maverick 88 (mossberg 500) with 28" barrel and screw in chokes for under $200 out the door brand new at Academy. Grab a couple boxes of clays and there's a day of fun right there.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

My vote is for the AR15......if for no other reason, buy it because there are so many people that think you should not be allowed to have it

Someone the other day warned me about the black gun fever.

I already suffer from the incurable 1911 addiction.

Here we are leading this individual down the path to....a never ending love affair with firearms.

So many choices, so little time and money, and storage.

Chonga, a rifle or shotgun sound like a good choice for your next purchase. Black shotguns are nice as well.

You could try some of the on-line auctions (Auction Arms, Gunbroker, others). I like to prowl the pawn shops. I picked up a nice Browning Auto-5 Lightweight 12 manufactured in 1959 in Port Arthur yesterday for 199 bucks out the door.

I have bought a Winchester 1300 riot, Rem 870 riot, Mossberg Mariner 12 ga, and others at pawn shops all for under 200 bucks. My best find was a Browning Belgium 12 Magnum vent rib NRA 98% for 260 bucks after Rita.

Your options are really endless.

Good shopping.

I already got a mossberg 590 shotgun. I was thinking about RRA M4 Ar-15, but I just don't have that many place to shoot it, plus I know almost absolutely nothing about them. I also believe that .223 ammo is also quite expensive.

Hang in there re:ar 15s.. I've got a great reliable source who can hook us up whever we're ready.. After our conversation on the AR's I believe our criteria and price range are very similar..
