May 2009 Applications

Checked the mail on Friday and I was excited to see an envelope from the State of Texas....it was my vehicle registration.

BUT, I did receive my plastic today.

I've been waiting so long for this that I'm not sure what to do ask for when Christmas rolls around. Maybe that new EMP?

Guess I'll be moving on over to some of the other forum lists now...


03/--/2009 - Registered on CHLS website
04/--/2009 - Application packet received
05/12/2009 - First part of CHL Class
05/13/2009 - Second part of CHL Class
05/14/2009 - Mailed via USPS Priority Mail with tracking at 9:09am
05/16/2009 - Delivered to CHLS at 10:02am
06/03/2009 - Sent email to CHLS asking for status.
06/15/2009 - Email reply from CHLS - Application has not been entered...Going through pre-entry process...
08/19/2009 - Sent email to CHLS asking for status.
08/26/2009 - Called CHLS to check status - person said everything is back and OK - just waiting to get to next stage. Shouldn't be much longer.
09/01/2009 - Email reply from CHLS - 'The application is near completion. Thank you for your continued patience.'
09/14/2009 - Received plastic

Waiting on Mailman now.
No returned calls, no returned emails
then I get an email " Application Complete, mailed on 9-14. "
so that's over 100+ days since DPS received App.

I received my Chl on the 14th. Its funny I don't feel any different. But I didn't really think I would. It looks like I will be going to wal mart today. My first experience carrying in public. I am expecting and hoping for a boring experience. Good luck to all those still waiting.
