Will there ever be another range in Collin County?

Backwoods - Gone.

Mckinney - Gone.

Will there ever be another range in Northern Collin County? I'm sick of having to drive 20 miles to shoot.

Generally speaking, NO. Too much buildup in the McKinney area to get a range put in.

I know that I am bumping an old post... but it had the information I needed after my search.

I live off of Hwy 380.... less than 3 miles from the old abandoned Collin County Gun Range.
Unfortunately I moved in and they closed down 2 weeks later.
I am sad twice a day when I drive by and see the old sign.

I was going to post asking where are some ranges in the North Collin County area... and my question had already been answered.

Check out the thread entitled "Shooting air rifles in North Texas"
for a possible alternative range.

I believe this site is in Collin County, but I am not sure.

http://www.apgtraining.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is for sale but not closing... I have been going each weekend since august when I discovered it.

300 yard range
class3 auto ok must bring paperwork (law enforcement trains there and you need paperwork)
fmj ok (that is all I shoot)
http://www.tannerite.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is NOT ok.
shotguns NOT allowed
quick draw ok
LEO and military discounts
i would call before i go or check website heavy rain will close range.

i joined for the year only 200. have been more than 10 times so it paid off. best range i have ever been to. if you have not been there and you need to shoot special stuff or fmj... make the drive. is 45 min drive for me but i dont care!

videos of me shooting out at apg in my signature line.

$20 each time or $200 for a year membership (you will get a gate code).

LEO discounts and maybe military (call them and ask)

always check website to see if police training going on or if heavy rain will close sometime.
