Ranger Arms (Texas)???

#1

Post by Rugrash »

When my brother and I were born one of my uncles gave each of us a rifle produced by Ranger Arms. Mine is a left-handed (I'm a righty) 7mm bolt action w/ thumbhole in the stock. It has a Leupold scope as well. This rifle is at least 35 years old. My question is...does anyone else here know anything about the company or their products??? All I know is that is was located in Gainesville, TX and I believe they went out of business in the 70's.

Thanks!!!

This is what the Blue Book site above has to say:

Previous manufacturer located in Gainesville, TX until the early 1970s.
Ranger Arms Inc. manufactured good quality, bolt action rifles in various calibers and configurations. Although somewhat rare in that there were not a large number manufactured, collectibility to date has been limited with specimens in 90%+ condition, typically priced in the $375-$500 range.

I know that is not much help, but other than that all I found was an obituary for a lady that used to work there. Take care.

That's a nice gift to give a child for being born!

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
