Re: DPS Processing Times
My shooting buddy just got his "processing App" changed to "accepted". There may be some hope! His timeline is the same as mine. See signature.
He didn't have to be reprinted though.

Re: DPS Processing Times
Got on the DPS website and ours had finally changed to "application complete". Only took 184 days from the time the DPS received our application.

Re: DPS Processing Times
I got my clearence/approval today according to the Texas Online information page. It changed from "processing" to "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active." I submitted my application to the state 3/10/2009, took nearly 6months for processing. My question is how long before I get my CHL card and can I carry now or do I have to wait?

you have to wait for the plastic in hand before you can carry .OldSchoolRules wrote:I got my clearence/approval today according to the Texas Online information page. Re: DPS Processing Times
My shooting buddy had his status changed Wednesday and plastic in hand on Saturday. Supposedly DPS has 50 new persons to help processing. His time line is similar to mine.....so, keeping my fingers crossed!

I will try to live up to the standard you have set for the Wally Walk. Perhaps my wife would be willing to take some pictures. I'll have to set the camera on wide angle to accommodate the view.
Now to order the Kholster.......In the meantime, I can use my little old Blackhawk......(after The Plastic arrives, of course....)

Re: DPS Processing Times
My wife asked if I will carry it on the motorcycle. I said, "Yes, of course..its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it." She agrees with that, but wanted to know about putting her arms around my waist when riding.....I just told her not to sqeeze my love handles.......
Seriously, though...it was a valid question, since she very seldom holds on to me. Usually she's leaning on the backrest and relaxing. I'll make sure she is very aware. Shouldn't be a problem.
Mail hasn't arrived yet.......

Re: DPS Processing Times
Wow! 40 days for a renewal. I haven't actually received it but it says it's been issued. Are they getting their act together in Austin?

Unbelievable! That's hard to believe, but I do. Congrats Larry! I'd say yes they ARE getting their act together. Re: DPS Processing Times
for me it was 68 calendar days, door to door.. things definitely seem to be moving in the right direction at DPS.
