That's true. I've been spending a good bit of time here myself recently, as you can tell. USA1 is on before going to work, during his lunch, after dinner, and other sporadic instances throughout the day......

Strange habit....... :thumbs2:

You check the DPS website:

http://www.texasonline.state.tx.us/NASA ... ctTask.jsp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You need your PIN #. If you applied online it came with your original application. If you received your application in class, your PIN # will be mailed to you....but it may take a couple of months waiting on it. USA1 emailed for his and got it practically overnight.

Woohoo! This afternoon status changed from "Packet Mailed to Applicant", To "Processing Application"! :woohoo :woohoo

I've finally been recognized as a bone fide applicant. Didn't take them as long as I thought it would really. They've had it since Saturday, Aug. 8.

now you get to spend endless nights checking your status . :shock:

hope you don't have to wait long .

seeing as how you don't live in Harris County , it might be sooner than you think .

Uhhhh, unless you are using that newfangled "new math" I only count 12 days....from the time DPS received it, until it changed to processing app. :confused5 Here. Can I offer you a drink? :cheers2: :mrgreen:

Thanks for the kind words. I'm in for the long haul & I know it. How long is anyone's guess. At least I don't have to check 3 times a day that I have been. "rlol" I figure I can slow down to 1 or 2 for a couple of months. ;-)
