Bank Carry

#1

Post by Love&A.45 »

I just returned from my bank ( First National Bank) here in San Antonio and I noticed a new weapons prohibited here sign. It makes referrence to a Texas Civil law 4713. ( I hope that I got that right). Can anyone tell me if that was a valid sign( it's not a .30 06 sign). Maybe it is there to make the sheeple feel good.

Thanks in advance.

Not valid for a CHL holder... only the 30.06 would be valid for a private business.

It probably referenced Govt Code 411, Article 4413. Not a valid sign to prevent CHL holders from carrying there.

Don't worry about it and CARRY CARRY CARRY!

Bank? No 30.06? No problem.

The chart isn't completely accurate but it's a good stepping stone to reading the actual laws.

My bank has a gunbusters sign, no 30.06, and I always carry when I go inside.

It's funny how you can be completely legal, but feel devilish at the same time.

My bank has no signs stopping it, so in a walk...or stagger depending on how many firearms I have stuffed in my pants!

The bank does however have a policy of not allowing firearms to be stored in the security boxes I wonder how they would know it was there anyway?

One of the first carry's my husband did was in the bank. I came home from work and he said I carried my gun in the bank today! That sounded so funny. With all the holdups there are at banks in Austin these days, we'll probably start having banks seeking out CHL holders to do their banking there just to have some extra protection around. :rolll

I carry EVERY time I go to the bank, which is usually three or four times a week for business. When you are carrying a bank bag with up to 10 grand cash my pistol makes me just a little less worried.

Still feels weird going into the bank with a weapon.

Banks are like any other building as far as I'm concerned..I have yet to see with my own eyes a bank that is correctly posted. I used to know a guy who would wait outside of a bank in order to rob people as they came out with cash...he was eventually shot, and then sent to prison for five years...he got what he deserved. But his method has taught me a good lesson about being aware upon leaving a bank....keep your eyes scanning your environment, put your money away before going outside, and be prepared to defend yourself...

“Mr Dillinger”, asked the very brave radio journalist “Why do you rob banks..?” “Because”, Dillinger replied “that is where the money is.” :coolgleamA:
