I reload .40 ammo, but when I want more fresh brass, I buy Blazer Brass and run it through my Glocks.

Before I began reloading, I much prefered Blazer Brass to WWB. It's cleaner.

I have seen alot of Wal-Mart bashing on the internet.... But I get along fine in the ones I go to.
If you talk to the manager of the sporting goods department chances are they will order ammo(that they stock normally) for you.

WWB 9mm @ $4.63 a box comes in 10 box "cases"(500 rds.). The store I shop at orders according to what they sell. I think they all do.
If they sell one box, they order one box. Myself and unknown others have asked for so many cases of WWB to be ordered that they are now ordering 10 cases at a time.

Most Wal-Marts don't order case quantities of ammo, they order 3 or four boxes at a time. Hence, they are always out of stock. If they don't have it nobody can buy it. And it LOOKS to THEM that there isn't much of a demand. "Hey we only sell 3 or 4 boxes of this stuff a week" DUH!!!

Go talk to the department manager, nicely, and I bet they will order you a case of whatever.

FYI rambling:
Last year two Wal-Marts I know of were selling Remington 9mm 115gr FMJ(green & white box) and the Blazer Brass 9mm 115gr for $4.27 a box for several months. I bought thousands of rounds!! They were selling below cost just to get customers away from Academy, who was selling WWB/50 rds. for $4.88. At that time Wal-Mart only had WWB Value packs/100rds for $10.96. Two 50rd boxes from Academy were cheaper(2x$4.88=$9.76)

I love capitalism. Bring on the price wars!

Wal-Mart will beat the price of the competition. They have a gun catalog behind the counter that they can order from. YES, you can buy more rifles and shotguns than just what they have on display!

It takes a little time and some patience and understanding but you can get a good deal on long guns and ammo at Wally World. Not all the employees are "gun people", some of them don't even have both oars in the water. Just talk to someone else or try another Wal-Mart.

Blazer Brass 9mm and 40S&W feeds, shoots and ejects from every pistol I have.

Overeasy is right, Walmart used to order STS and AA shotgun shells for me ten and twelve cases at a time, now Academy is cheaper and they stock cases.

Walmart managers will try to work with you.

Academy keeps more on their shelves AND they price-match Walmart.
