Negative Trooper Encounter

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

Maybe if you pulled out a CHL badge, they wouldn't have a problem identifying you as a Good Guy...

I got a warning for being the only other vehicle on the road (aka speeding with no actual speed filled in, probably 3-4 over) last night, and the trooper never even asked if I was carrying.

Should I report him for failing to follow this "policy?" Granted, I'd been out to our land, so it was one of those times when, if he'd asked about weapons in the car, I would have had to send him back to his car for a bigger piece of paper :evil2:

Also, it is far from 'the most dangerous job'. It's actually #10 on the list.

I knew what I was getting into when I signed the dotted line for Uncle Sam that gave him 4 years of my life, I can only assume that LEO's know the same.

Yep, but you never hear anyone advocating legislation to "cut some slack" for the trashmen or the truckers.

Where would you be without someone to take away your garbage or bring you the stuff to make garbage from?

I'll tell you what. Anyone who complains about the price of crab, deserves a punch in the face.
I totally have a complete respect for the guys who do that job after watching Deadliest Catch.
Those guys WORK THEIR BUTTS OFF for their living, and it's like, a 1/1000 chance of dying each year for each one of them.

I always thought working on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier was right up there.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Lawman wants to check, see my CHL and weapon of choice, IS O.K. with me. Especially if N, I was noticed doing an infraction.
I'm honest and legal.
THERE IS so much going on out there, I think I will give them all the help and support they need.
LEO's aren't mind readers, I will help and give em' the answers they're looking for. Really ... they're just trying to get the garbage of our streets.
That's what I pay (( Also, give em' a pay raise)) them for !

Dont taze me bro II?

Sorry I couldn't resist; but seriously if all they want is the serial number and you know your pistola is not hawt, then let them have it.

To the OP I think you should have just exited the vehicle and go to their squad car while THEY handle your weapon.

"Sure you can run the serial number; the gun's in the glove box you can retrieve it form there and I'll just go sit in the hood of your s1uad car while you guys check it out"

Im not handing a loaded gun to a DPS, too many variables.

If they need feel the need to disarm me so be it; but THEY are unholstering it and doing the fumbling.

I think your stop went pretty good, no ticket was issued and they didn't scratch your piece in the pavement :evil2:

If I was to see a police officer getting whipped on the side of the road, there is no way I could just drive on. I would definitely stop and help the officer. Hopefully I would be able to help without making matters worse.

One incident doesn't make a pattern. I think you are overreacting.

And how do you know that there is not a pattern? I would write those troopers' boss a nastygram, and let him judge if there is a pattern. There may well be 40 more in their files.
