Yet, here I am at 134 days this morning and I have not yet made my weekly call to DPS but full well expect to hear that they are still waiting on my background check from Harris County.
Update (and yes, I quoted myself)... suprise of all surprises... When I called today, my background check was returned yesterday so theoretically, it is headed off to the printer and I 'only' have 2 or 3 weeks left. Some light at the end of a very long tunnel.

Yep...April guys I guess aren't as talkative as the other months...not too much conversation in here.

Let's start a debate....what is your favorite beer?

After spending a few weeks in Germany, I've grown to appreciate more unfiltered wheat beers. Dunno why, but the best beer I had while over there was Franzikaner Hefeweizen on tap at one of the bars. I personally find the bottles actually aren't as good here, so my personal favorite as of now is Paulaner Hefeweizen. For really dark beer I like Mackeson XXX Stout...for light beer crappy beer if I must, I actually prefer Icehouse or Keystone Light. I've had too much Bud Light and Miller Lite that I actually find them slightly sweet in a rather unpleasant way.

What's yours?

Gotcha..didn't realize we couldn't have side topics in our threads. A good margarita I could agree too. I spent a week in Cabo back in December/January. Amazing place to visit an I definitely be back; beautiful scenery.

76 days on my app as of June 30th. 6 more days to my b-day so I will happily wait at another 6 days at least. Honestly I'm in a perfect position right now. No matter what happens right now I will at least have my first permit for very, very close to 5 years...very close to the max amount of time before I am required to renew

we should go to the off topic section and start a new topic called "A Topic About Nothing "..

...or " A Topic About Everything "

then anything could be discussed , as long as rules are adhered to .

did i mention that my status says "processing application " ? :biggrinjester:
