New to IWB Carry

#1

Post by GFGrand »

I posted this in the general discussion and was referred here. Hope that's ok. I'm new to comfortable IWB carry and have been doing some research as to my options. Below are my current top picks. I know that most people have heard of the top two but does anyone know anything about the bottom two? Thanks!

CrossBreed Supertuck - http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Seem to have a pretty large following. Worth the price?

Comp-Tac C-Tac - http://www.comp-tac.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Equally impressive reviews.

Kholster - http://www.kholster.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Similar to CrossBreed in many ways except for price. Haven't read any complaints so far.

Applegate Holster Works - http://www.applegateholsterworks.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Found them on Ebay (originally) and like what I've read as well. Can't find any reviews online. Anyone have any?

I have a crossbreed and love the hell out of it. I'm 6', about 215, and I forgot I had it on with my .40 after about an hour on the very first day I wore it. Quite adjustable for cant as well.

I'm a CTAC user, myself. I've had no complaints with it. I use it for two different Glocks, 22 and 19.

As far as comfort goes, there is always going to be some compromise between comfortable and comforting.

Also from Comp-Tac, check out the MTAC Minotaur - EXTREMELY comfortable.

CTAC & MTAC are each about $80.

A good reason NOT to skimp on a holster:

I just bought the MTAC Minotaur for my S&W M&P 9 compact, $80 +tax and standard shipping. Ordered on Sunday, 5/31, received today 6/4. I wore it for a few hours and it was very comfortable to me. This is the first IWB holster I've used so I have nothing to compare to. I wore it around the house without telling anyone, it concealed very well with my polo shirt untucked. My wife asked me to look for something in the lower cupboard and while crawling on the floor looking in the cupboards, everything stayed in place and the gun was nice and snug.

I don't have a good belt just yet - but that is my next purchase.

I am not affiliated in any way with Comp-Tac - except as a customer.
