Doh! I had hoped he would, and wanted to hear his POV about it, cause he has really skewered Tiller over the years. What did he say?
He had a lot more information than I did, obviously. This guy had performed over 60,000 abortions with many being after 24 weeks gestation. I think he said that according to Kansas laws there must be a reason provided by the doctor that a late term abortion was medically necessary for the mother. Or something like that. Anyway, the excuses given by him in many of these cases was EXTREMELY flimsy.
Once again, the pregnant people came to him for his services. I've seen no indication nor commentary that he performed his procedures on the unwilling. IOW,it takes two to tango and it takes two to have an abortion.

Get it yet?
Technically 3. Unless the doctor was the man who got her pregnant in the first place.
Sorry. I understood what you meant a couple days ago. I'm still not quite sure how to respond though, but here's what I'm thinking so far.
I'm thinking that the women would not be guilty of a crime if the doctor did not facilitate their wishes. I think he should have denied them if they were beyond 24 weeks or whatever Kansas’ upper limit is unless there was a real medical need for the mother. It appears as though there was not in many cases. Many of them may not have even known what the laws were regarding the upper limit.
The guy that killed will have his day in court and should go to prison. I have no problem with that. And I do feel sorry for the doctor's family. I just can't say I feel sorry for the doctor.

I still don't know how to feel abut this whole thing. I am kind of indifferent about it. I don't agree with murder, but he did agree with it so should he have a problem with his own?
I'm trying very hard not to lock this thread for violation of Forum Rule 11. If it gets even the slightest bit "personal" again, it's locked.

Whoops, sorry about that Charles. I knew of the other hot-button issues, but I should have read that rule more carefully. My apologies if starting this thread was a violation. I was mainly wanting to discuss the possible RKBA fallout, but yeah, the context is probably too touchy of a subject.

It wasn't deleted because there is a legitimate discussion to be had concerning murdering someone to push an agenda. It could apply to abortion, gun laws, taxation, or just about any other issue. That doesn't violate the rules. But getting into a debate about abortion rather than murder is when we have a problem.
One thing is for certain...the seeds he has sown for all
these years (violent killing) has finally produced a crop!
It's a reminder of what justice is, and that is...what you sown you will indeed reap.

Funny how things work here on planet earth...I learned about this
as a teenager when some friends and I ripped off a few car stereos
at a college party out in the parking lot.
A little while after that, somebody came along and stole the
stereo and speakers out of my truck (I was like 16 or 17)
I did the deed to somebody, and somebody came along
and did the same deed to me. Was a real eye opener!

I, too, appologize Charles. And to everyone else. It was not my intention to get into a discussion or debate over the overall topic of abortion itself.
